Fyodor Vasilyev who lived in the 18th century was a peasant from Shuya, Russia. His first wife, Mrs. Vassilyev sets the record for most children birthed by a single woman.
gave birth to 69 children from 27 pregnancies. That woman gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets between 1725 and 1765. 67 of the 69 children born are said to have survived infancy.
